Declaration of Theocracy
You people are utterly whacked. The Founders knew what they were doing when they made NO mention whatsoever of God, Jesus, Christianity, or the Bible, when they wrote our Constitution. Do you think they just FORGOT to mention these things? It was a tremendous controversy at the time, that they founded a purely *secular* nation.

You whine about how "liberals ignore the constitution", yet you want to rewrite the Declaration to include theocratic concepts that the Founders intentionally left out of the Constitution.

We have separation of church and state for a very good reason. And by the way, that "Wall of Separation" idea goes back to one of the religious founders of the colonies, Roger Williams, a devout Baptist.

Ugh
OK just so we're clear:
52% of americans ARE NOT paying taxes I don't know where you're getting your info. on how we are losing money with the obama plan when we're SAVING money. The health care plan is saving us money (billions) in the long run and why do you guys almost always disagree with everything the government has to say? Just wondering. Oh, and one last thing, a socialist health care plan will NOT ruin the good old USA as many capitalist nations have a socialist health care plan and they're doing fine. ps. The boston tea party was disapproved of some founding fathers like Ben Franklin. Just so you know.

CONGRESS
First things first. We must rebalance congress so we have
balanced view points. We will be able to do this if we concentrate on key elections and have direction from our TEA
Party leaders. We donated to the election of Scott Brown and
live in Illinois. Tea Party was able to buy TV and impact a dual mission. Who's next-- NEVADA-- We can fund one target
election at a time, prove our resolve and not get spread out to thin. I am a senior citizen and have supported new thinking
often. Desire-Direction-Dedication will work but it requires ppatience. The TEA PARTY is off to a good start. Let's be smart

Basic Premise
I am convinced that our representatives in both houses of Congress have completely abandoned the notion that they wre elected to serve the people's interest.

Tuesday's election results in Massachusetts demonstrate the peril of not doing so. As a veteran who served behind a wall in Berlin, Germany, I am especially concerned with freedom and our way of life.

I hope that all in this administration will read teh massachusetts election of Senator BRown as a precursor of things to come from an angry, dis-satisfied American populace.

The fact that this administration has squandered an overwhelming mandate in the Presidential election and with control of Congress done so little is deplorable.

While many of them will reap their just rewards in November, why is there no outcry or movement now to recall Nancy Pelosi ?

She has promised even more than President Obama and certainly delivered much less, if anything.

I am thinking of what I might bring to this campaign, in addition to one more angry voice.

Redeclaration of Independence
What I see as of most importance. In our Declaration of Independence when we solemnly declared, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be free and Indepedent Sates; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown(Federal Government). We Should be Free and Independent States. That we as Independent States the States should have power Over all Governments including the Federal Government. What this means to me is what Citizens of Nebraska might believe is important to them might not be the same in My State.

My State is a Conservative State and I am sick and tired of our Federal Tax Dollars in my State going to some Nanny State that can't pay thier own Bills. If your State wants to go down the slippery Slope to Socialism DON'T TREAD ON MY STATE.

Our founding Fathers did not and never intended the Federal Government's power to exceed the power of the States.

My Country
A note to Kimberly regarding not one of us "Native". My ansestors,my great grandmother and grandfather, grandmother, mother and myself are all "NATIVE AMERICAN". There are many of us but as history(not in history books they teach in school)goes our numbers are not as great as they once were. Had we of not been so nieve the country you call Anerica would be much different. I admit I have taken on the white man's ways but only because this is what I was taught. My people were told the had to be as the white socity and when we refused the rest is history. I also have other blood in my veins but I feel I am more native. I don't need lots of money or material positions. If I had lots of money there are many other things I could think of to do with it other than to by jewelry, fancy cars, big houses, fancy clothes ect..This is the first time I have been to this website but I have been following the Tea Party since it started. I never cared for politics but I have woke up to smell the coffee. The government statred being crupt before I was born but if more people don't wake up you might become like my ancestors where there once was many are now just a few. Enough said on that for the moment. There are alot of good ideas out there and now is the time to act before we are gone. I'm just a country bumpkin but don't take that for being uneduicated. I will put my commom sense ability to help turn this country around if some ask for my help. Mary Krelder has some great ideas so does Carol Cavanaugh and I believe his name is Jesse Jones and you can read about him in your elected leaders on Tea Party web site. Have to go

Renewal of Declaration of Independence
Our Founders motives were clear, even if their writings may at times left themselves open to interpretation. They were willing to and did die for the cause of Liberty and freedom. Their biggest fear was a government through unscrupulous means, may usurp power from the states that they never gave to the federal government. Their purpose was to give each state it's own soverignity, with a weak central government with limited powers, one of them being to keep a strong Army and Navy to protect us from foreign invaders. Referee disputes between states, investigate crimes that happen in more then one state, such as kidnapping where the victim is taken across state lines. Convicting organized crime and other crimes that happen in multiple states where there would be more then one jurisdiction (FBI). Intelligence gathering that can be used to protect us from possible attack of enemies (CIA). Interstate commerce. Railroad maintence and interstate road maintence.

The freedom of speech and religion. Our founders established a new country specifically for religous freedom, to worship as you please, and the only restriction they put on Government was that they could NOT establish a religon such as England did with the "Church of England" which you had to be a member in order to have any position in the government. It did NOT however mean for the government to deny people of faith to place their religous symbols on public property, during religous holidays, and the public property belongs to all. Freedom of speech must be returned to what it was meant to be. Many of my generation and before were taught, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me". We were taught to consider the source, the person doing the bullying was probably insecure and felt better about themselves by putting down others. Popular speech does not need protecting, so it is the unpopular speech that our founders were trying to protect. Offensive speech should not be "criminalized" under the guize of "Political correctness", If someone is blind, they're blind, if someone is deaf, they're deaf, if someone is in a wheelchair, they are handicapped or crippled. They are not demeaning words, but words we grew up with that short and to the point described the afliction. Yelling "fire" in a crowed building if there is no fire, where a stampede could cause great harm to people obviously should be illegal, but not under freedom of speech, but public endangerment. If someone is saying offensive things and someone reacts violently, it is the one who acted violently that would be wrong, because we need to become thicker skined as when I grew up and you just roll your eyes up in your head and think, "WHAT A JERK", and leave it at that. People have a right to be a jerk!

The second amendment was second because it was that important. The founders knew the importance of self protection, and our founders knew what tyranical governments (kings) and like Nazi Germany played out after collecting all of their citizens guns. There might have been a lot fewer murdered people if the Germans knew some people owned guns, but didn't know which houses they might be in. I am all for background checks to make sure you have no violent history, but once you have been deemed a law abiding citizen, a permit should be given, and after that, no gun purchase should be registered. We have a right to protect ourself against a rogue government which is the reason they specifically made it the second most important amendment. The latest instance of a gun being used for self defence is the NY shopkeeper who's employee was being beaten severely and he warned the perps to get out or else, and when they kept up the beating the shopkeeper killed 2 of the perps to save his employee. Self defence must not be eroded away by the anointed ones who are followed around by armed police and Secret Service.

We need to give all social issues back to the states! Schools, healthcare medicade, medicare, and allow the states, localities, and charities, and local businesses take care of the problems of their local people. When you take 10's of millions that need help, it seems an overwhelming task, and when you have huge government agencies to try to fix them, it becomes impossible, because a large portion of monies collected is going to pay for all of those in the agency. If we broke all those numbers down into the 50 states where they belong, you can then get the state together with the localities, business', and charities, like Habitat for humanities, and get the communities together and try to create jobs, even if they can only pay a few dollars an hour, such as having someone who God gave a lesser IQ so all they can really do is sweep a floor, and have a charity supplement the meager salary. God helps those who help themselves. Many people would give to a general fund charity, run by a non-profit, like a church to help support those who are trying, and think of the self esteem the person would have knowing they earned their check! We could go into the inner cities, and get the grafitti artists to paint over their trash with beautiful murals and pay them out of the local and charity coffers, and we could have them teach art to children who have some kind of talent but no one to give them the time. There are so many ways we can turn the economy around just by getting the federal out of the picture. We could get business' like Home depot and Lowes to offer materials free or at cost to help build low income homes, and playgrounds so kids would have safe places to play after school. I personally have a dream if I ever won a huge lottery, to build an intercity daycare center for kids of all ages on school days off and after school. It would be sever stories with basketball courts, swimming pool, pool tables, ping pomg tables, a mini golf course, etc, then a level where there would be a quiet area for the kids to do homework and adult volunteers to help the kids with their homework. A snack area, a quiet area for the smaller kids, and many other things to do. The big rule would be that no one could come in with cigarettes, as everyone would be underage, no booze of any kind, no weapons of anykind, pocket knives could be checked in at the door and locked up and given back upon leaving. Juice, milk, and snacks would be provided either through donations of parents and /or donations from vendors for maybe having their advertisement on a wall, or charity donations. parents who have kids using the facility would either have to pay a nominal fee or volunteer time on days off to oversee the kids activities. If several communities wanted to get together and share the costs, we could have school busses designated to bring kids to the facility from surrounding area schools. We need to get parents to backoff from pushing their kids into so many after school activities, and get them to spend more one on one time with their kids. We might even have an area where kids might be able to have private music lessons once a week. These are problems that the federal Govt is trying to get under control, but as you can see, it is more likely possible if done at a lower level taking care of our own. Like in the old days, if a farmers barn burned down, (the Amish still live this way) everyone in the community got together and had barn building weekends. We need to get our smaller communities pulled together and help take care of each other ina pinch.

Workfare instead of welfare. Too many kids have grown up in the welfare system. It was meant to be a temporary system for women who through no fault of their own are left with a kid and no daddy, like my daughter's friend who was 6 months pregnant with her HUSBAND's child, when he was crushed under a car he was working on, and she could only stand there helplessly watching the life slipping out of him. Yes,we need to help those kind of people in such a horrible time of need. But, for the others, they go into the workfare system. If they only have 1 kid, they get some kind of permanant birthcontrol like a Norplant implant, to keep them from having any other kids on the state, or get kicked out with no taxpayers support. In the mean time, we would get about 2 hundred women together and split them into 2 groups, the one would go to some trade school, while the other group watched all their kids. When the tech schools are done, they change places, and the second group goes to school while the first watches the kids. In 4 years or less we could have 200 hundred more people with job skills, and off the welfare rolls. Again, not something the feds can or should be trying to do! Healthcare would be the same, but with more negotiating to bring expences down while covering ALL. Sliding scale payments could be used for the truely impoverished, and middle income, but TORT reform would have to be part of the soution! I've got a lot of ideas, but Barney Frank was listening to no one, just hearing what he wanted to hear, and Obama doesn't want any alternative to Govt run healthcare, because it is the last step to socialism, especially since there is a bill being considered in Sept, that would remove term limits on the President. Google: HJ Res 5

I'm falling asleep so I need to go. I work night shift in healthcare and have signed up for so many of these conservative forums, that I can't even remember them all but if you would like any further thoughts e-mail me at MKRRT@aol.com. In subject line write healthcare reform. Good night mary

Thank God for everything, in every condition, for every condition.
Hello My Fellow Americans,

The grace and peace of our God and our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

God is in control. We need to reinstate prayer in our schools. I recommend a book entitled "Original Intent" by David Barton. The education of every citizen should be a biblical education with the freedom to accept or reject Jesus Christ as thier savior. This is "The Freedom of Religion" this country was founded on. Jesus is The Christ!

"Separation of Church and State" is an addition and a reaction to abuses in the government from 1870 to 1960s. This is not a correct interpretation of the Original founding documents of the Founding Fathers of the United States. Slavery and mislabeling people as property is wrong. People sell themselves into slavery with sin and debt. You are forgiven by the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, only. Not by Government, not by a political canidate, not by a Court that thinks it is Supreme, not by a Dictator, not by a Muslim, not by an Anarchist, not by an atheist, not by a professor, not by an ipod, not by an animal right, not by anything except the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ will man be saved from himself. We have the freedom to pursue this happiness in His Kingdom reserved for those who choose to thank Him for His true gift of Freedom.

May God bless this country and those who work to support and defend her and His Kingdom in this age and the age to come!

Sincerely,
Joseph

A Christian, A Veteran, A Citizen, and Lover & Son of Jesus Christ.

Thanks to Lemony Snicket
One other good story that deserves mention is Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. Folks, don't we see through all President Olaf's disguises and can't we figure out some way to bring an end to this "series of unfortunate events"? Let's tie up our hair and read some good books (maybe even bite off a few things...) and GET BUSY fixin' this mess!

Hey, remember David and Goliath? The Tortoise and the Hare, too. Little Engine that Could. And best of all, the Greatest Story Ever Told. The last chapter of that one hasn't been written yet....

The Garden Analogy (cont)
I left out one:
6) Once you get the weeds out, please make sure you dig that bed and get those seeds in the ground - or it all will have been wasted effort. (Those weeds just keep wanting to take over!)

The Garden Analogy
I haven't quite yet given up on planting a garden this year....although at this point a fall garden is my only option. But when I set about to plant a row of spinach this week I went out to my garden only to encounter weed-trees over my head! (One actually snapped the handle of my garden fork - just like it was a toothpick!) As I worked away, keeping the image of a raised bed of spinach in as clear a focus as possible through the sweat, my thoughts were on the current political and economic crisis facing our grand land today. Some principles popped into my head that might be helpful to the 9/12 Project.
1) If you want to get rid of a weed, go for the roots.
2) It helps speed things along - and therefore encourages you - if you tackle the larger weeds first.
3) The bigger they are, the harder they fall....Actually, it turned out to be surprisingly easy with most. Perhaps a bit of a paradox there.....? A fork at the root and over they went. Hmmmm! Is there an application in that somewhere?
4) If you want your garden to be productive, you just HAVE to get rid of the weeds. (Weeds don't produce much that's edible.)
5) And perhaps the most important principle of all - the GARDENER gets to decide what stays and what goes.

Over My Dead Body!
You know, that Patrick Henry guy was right. What was it he said? Oh yeah, "Give me liberty or give me death." Life without liberty and the dignity of having a voice sucks! Madonna was right on, too: "You don't know what you've got 'til it's GONE." So let's take our one LAST chance (if indeed the game hasn't already changed so much that it's unrecognizable.....I do wonder about that...)and go to Washington en masse on 09/10-09/12 to protest this joke of a health bill that doesn't fix anything. Hey, what have we got to lose?

jennifer on concerns with govermet
We all have to start small. A baby learns to walk one step at a time ... We have all been dumbed up by our goverment ... The only way for us to change it is by starting small and working at becomming big ... We Have to get the countrty back from the corrupt . And then get back to God and country , Family and teach our kids the ones that haven't been Aborted that these are the wrongs that was in the past so they will contenue the fight against it....

1. Get into a group like 912 project or the Tea party
2. Get involed in the local Government or Political Party
3. keep an eye on the local Government make sure the People in your Area are aware of what the elected officals are doing .
4. Get out and Vote and make sure that your friends and family Votes
5. And don't be afraid to confront the local governing body on the issues ....
6. write ,call ,email or how ever you want to contact Congressmen or senators give them your opion and remind them that they to will have to work to change this , If they don't seem to care we will work harder to vote them out the next election.

In 1892 the suprem court ruled that the USA was founded on Christain belief and there for a Christian Nation . Not as Mr. Obama has said in other counties a moslum nation ... I don't no about the rest of you but I for one don't pray to alla.... So I 'm not saying they don't have a right to there point of religon but he lied once again ....

Petition God with Prayer
We need to pray about one issue each week. Every 7 days. We talk about God being taken out of Washington, let us pray him back in. 2CH7:14 "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. This week 08/16-08/23,2009 pray for our President to make only Godly decisions. Decisions God himself would make for America. Now someone suggest one for next week following. You will see a difference. Let us pray.

Petition God with Prayer
I would think most people on this site are Christians. We need to pick a time each day to pray and have a new issue to pray about each week. If we want to put God back in America we need to have sanctity of life. We must end abortions, we must have laws against porn. There is too much greed and corruption. Where did our president get the money for his campaign? Cap and Trade is more government control of our lives just as health care will be. Next it will be national ID's. The billboards by NoSeparation.org are great. That's what brought me here.

hysteria
what i would like to see is less hysteria and more discussion, what happened to debate? when you just shout each other down, you both sound like idiots. liberals call me conservative, and conservatives think i am liberal. If you cannot convince people like me...then you are lost.

My point of view.
We must stand up and take back our country. We have been caught sleeping on the job.Why has this happened to us?By nature, middle class americans go to work, then come home and spend time with their families. On weekends,we work in our yards and spend time with our family and friends. We leave the protesting and rallies up to the liberals, the whole time trusting the government to do what is right in D.C.. We have been betrayed. Now we realize that we must make time in our life to raise our voice and be heard.Obama has actually done us a favor. He has woke us up.He has greatly underestimated his opponent, and his arrogance and overconfidence will be his weakness.I impatiently wait for the next gathering of my fellow americans as we rally together to unseat the Chicago mob.
